Listed below is the Gateway Subaru recommended maintenance schedule.

Intervals and Recommended Services

This schedule is based on the recommendations found in the Subaru Warranty and Maintenance Handbook. Additional services may be recommended based on local climate, road conditions, vehicle usage (repeated short distance driving, towing, etc.) and our years of experience with local driving conditions.

Not all services are applicable to every model/model year and in some cases prices may vary by model or equipment. Prices are subject to change without notice. Your service adviser will explain and confirm pricing details at the time your Repair Order is written.

** Note: Some 2011 model year and newer vehicles require the use of synthetic motor oil due to the advancement in engine designs for improved fuel economy and endurance. We recommend Genuine Subaru Synthetic Motor Oil, which was developed specifically for the new engine design.

Minor Service (Every 7.5 months)

Mileage Intervals
6,000 - 7,500 Mile Maintenance

$199.95 Package Price saves you over $80

We will perform the following services:

• Replace engine oil, filter & drain plug washer (up to 5 quarts,  if needed) 
• Inspect condition of air cleaner element 
• Inspect and adjust (if needed) all drive belts to factory specifications 
• Inspect and ensure cooling fan is operating within factory specifications 
• Inspect transmission fluid condition and transmission operation 
• Check to ensure air conditioning & heating systems are operating within factory specifications 
• Rotate tires, inspect tread wear and check & adjust tire pressure as needed 
• Perform brake system inspection; pads and/or drums, lines, hoses & fluid 
• Inspect suspension system and steering components to ensure factory specifications 
• Service battery terminals, check battery condition & adjust water level if needed 
• Inspect wiper blades and linkage operation
• Lubricate all door, trunk & hood latches and hinges if needed
• Inspect exhaust system and heat shields
• Check all wheel drive operation to ensure system is operating within factory specifications
• Inspect and adjust all fluid levels as needed
• Factory trained technician to conduct road test

Intermediate Service (Every 12 months)

We will perform the following services:

• Inspect suspension system and steering components to ensure factory specifications
• Service battery terminals, check battery condition & adjust water level if needed

• Lubricate all door, trunk & hood latches and hinges if needed
• Inspect exhaust system and heat shields
• Replace front & rear differential fluid
• Inspect & clean exterior of radiator
• Check all wheel drive operation to ensure system is operating within factory specifications
• Replace pollen filter
• Inspect radiator & cooling system
• Adjust emergency brake to within factory specifications as needed
• Replace air filter element
• Inspect steering operation, tie rod ends and steering rack guides per factory specifications
• Inspect all engine and transmission mounts
• Inspect and adjust all fluid levels as needed
• Check all interior & exterior lighting operation
• Renew brake fluid; completely flush brake system and replace fluid
• Replace spark plugs (add for turbo & 6 cylinder; see below)(deduct $40 for 04 & older 4cyl)
• Install premium motor oil conditioner (dealer recommended)
• Install premium fuel additive (dealer recommended)
• Factory trained technician to conduct road test
